Chris Rogers

Chris Rogers received his Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Utah and has held positions teaching in both California and Utah.  He is currently an Associate Professor at Brigham Young University in the Department of Linguistics and is a Fulbright Specialist.  

Chris immensely enjoys linguistic fieldwork and has significant experience working with native communities in the Americas and beyond.  He has conducted original research on Iñapari (Peru), Xinkan (Guatemala), Mixteco (Mexico), Wichi' (Argentina), Quechua (Peru), Ninam (Brazil), Makú (Venezuela), North Saami (Finland), and Karen (Myanmar). He is fluent in both English and Spanish and has proficiency in Italian, German, and Portuguese.
